Meet Our Staff

I was introduced to insurance by my father, Prestie Rankin, in June 2003, after attending Shippensburg University. I focused my attention on personal lines insurance, as well as life insurance. In January of 2010, I became the President of Apple Insurance Agency. Currently, I continue to focus my concentration on personal lines insurance and life insurance.

I am a father to two children under 5, and enjoy “Forced Family Fun Weekend”, selling Chief Logan Lions Club french fries, and shooting darts with friends.

My career in the insurance business began in 1976 upon graduation from Penn State University. I worked in a local insurance & real estate agency, handling all lines of personal and commercial insurance, as well as real estate sales. In 1979, I opened my own independent insurance office in Lewistown, selling and servicing both personal and commercial lines of insurance, as well as life insurance. At the formation of Apple Insurance Agency (two business mergers and 16 years later), I concentrated my activities on commercial insurance products and agency management.

I rely on my 39 years of insurance experience and accumulated knowledge to service our commercial insurance clients. I enjoy working with contractors, retailers, farmers, firefighters, EMT’s, physicians, church bards, service clubs, and other business clients requiring commercial insurance.

I am a member of Rhodes United Methodist Church, the Lewistown Lodge of Free & Accepted Masons, and several sportsmen’s clubs. My past service activities include several years of service to the Alfarata Lions Club as President and active member/volunteer.

I have been in the insurance industry since 2005, and with Apple Insurance Agency for the last 9 years. I am the secretary and administrative assistant. Licensed in property and casualty insurance since 2008, I like to refer to myself as the “Secret Agent” of the agency, dealing mainly with customer service, and not sales.

I am the mother of two adult sons. An avid Penn State fan, I enjoy going to football games and tailgating. I am a Mifflin County native, having lived in Athens, Greece and Ft Meade, MD, before returning back to PA in 1991.

I joined the Apple Insurance Agency as a licensed agent in 2012. I am licensed in Property & Casualty insurance. I work alongside our other staff to help clients with their home and auto insurance needs.

I am a soon to be mother of two! I enjoy reading, playing and watching sports. I live in Juniata County, but am the daughter of an Army man, so I’ve lived in other areas than our glorious state of PA.
